Everything to do with our Choirs Festival is subject to COVID restrictions

We have decided not to go ahead with any choirs classes this year. We are really sorry for all the wonderful choirs who have taken part in recent years. Watch this space for 2022 information

The following is for information only in 2021. Look out for a return to "normality" in 2022 on 30th June and 1st July:-

We are delighted to invite choirs from anywhere in the world to compete in these classes, even though the Choir of the Year classes are known as the 'Bournemouth Choir of the Year'.

Entry is very simple. Just have a look through the syllabus, then get yourself an Entry Form and follow the instructions.

On the Saturday Choirs Day (mainly adults, but not exclusively), we have access to the Pavilion Theatre's changing rooms, and if your choir would like to use these facilities, then get a 'Choirs Day' Form, fill it in and send it off to us, either with the entry form or at any time up to two weeks before the festival date. This helps us to allocate changing rooms fairly, allowing for gender and age, along with any disability requirements you may have.

You will also need an 'Own Choice' Form for EACH class you are entering.

On the day, please turn up in plenty of time and send a representative of your choir to our Competitors' Table in the Pavilion foyer, along with your music and your 'Own Choice' form(s).

If you have arranged changing facilities, make your way to the stage door, where our steward will direct you.

All choirs start their performance by entering the stage from within the theatre, so once you are changed, please make your way to the theatre entrance and come and watch your fellow competitors. We really encourage enthusiastic support for every choir. It makes for a truly wonderful and enjoyable atmosphere in the theatre.
